Ubol Ratana Dam
A large irrigation and hydroelectric reservoir in Ubolratana, northwest of the district referred to as Khao Niao. It is the largest reservoir in northeastern Thailand. Maps and GPS suggest abundant water, but actual water levels have fallen significantly. Although the reservoir surroundings are not in good condition, the unseen shadow to the south has disappeared. It is close to town.
